Turkey-Murder most Foul

July 19th and sweeping reform hits Turkey. Swept along by the glorious tide of success the WHO cajoled the Turkish government into installing a total smokeban of indoor places. No doubt much backslapping and cavorting was demonstrated on the 19th in the offices of these pathetic all controlling people who typify the 'anorak' existence.
July 26th, a whole week into the ban, and the Turkish bar/cafe owners start going up the wall as they see takings plummet and businesses start to suffer. "The ban is crap" they cry, "my business is being killed by these WHO peoples, who are these peoples anyway?"
For a country that has a massively high smoker prevalence this smokeban was a massive blow to all forms of business.
The following report emerged from Reuters on friday:-

ISTANBUL - "A restaurant owner in southwest Turkey was shot dead after he tried to prevent his customers from smoking to comply with a new law on the use of tobacco indoors, Hurriyet daily said on Thursday.
A fight broke out after Hidir Karayigit, 46, ordered a group of customers to extinguish their cigarettes when they began smoking at his "meyhane," a traditional restaurant that serves alcohol, in the town of Saruhanli, Hurriyet said.
One of the customers shot Karayigit four times after he took away the group's cigarettes, said witness Hamza Havutcu, Karayigit's business partner who was also shot and wounded."

So here we have the sad truth of this worldwide attempt to control peoples lives & livelyhoods because one fanatical group have crusaded against a relaxing substance enjoyed by millions around the world. The WHO will say, if challenged on this subject, that the incident is most regrettable but smoking does kill!
The Turkish government, like our completely corrupt and all controlling version, have put the onus on the bar owners/cafe owners to 'police' the smokeban - WHY?

Karayigit took it upon himself to police his own bar for fear of fine or closure by the authorities and paid far more than any fine that would have been imposed. His life!
Will his family sue the Turkish government, for the deadly actions of another person were caused by the Turkish government. Had there been no ban there would have been no altercation, no confrontation - no death!
When are governments in these countries (our dimwitted lot included) going to realise that they are tampering with peoples lives. The day is surely coming where the "peoples revolt" will occur. With the way the army is being deployed and sacrificing lives on a daily basis on foriegn soils I somehow doubt the army would turn on its own people at the behest of this self congratulatory government hell bent on control.
We have the death of a bar owner in Turkey, the death of a 'gentle giant' doorman in London, we have the two suicides attributed to the smokeban yet the WHO march on relentlessly in their quest for world dominance and the eradication of smoking.
They need to take a long, cold, hard look at exactly what they are doing to this world for it doesn't look as if the people will tolerate much more of their inanities.
Smokebans cannot prove to have saved a single life yet it only took 12 days for Turkey to provide a death from SMOKEBANS.
